The first slurp of a noodle, and I swear it was like I was transported to the streets of Xi’an. The smells of spices and the sense of warmth from the cooked-at-home food hit me all at once. For some time now, I had been noticing friends and food bloggers sharing their great experiences at a place that promised authentic Chinese food in the city.
As a person always on the lookout for an authentic food experience, I knew I had to visit. I grabbed a friend who wanted food from home, and off we went to see if Xian Street Food Dublin delivered with big flavors, homemade noodles, and an experience that was a world away from home.
Xi’an Street Food – Anne St S
I couldn’t just resist how everyone was swooning over how scrumptious the food tastes of Xi’an street food in Dublin. My Asian friend was also craving some home food. And when we saw a 4-star Google rating with 2,373 reviews and a 3.7 rating with 163 reviews on TripAdvisor, we were determined to pay a visit. I’m glad we did because we’ll be going back there often now. Xian street food is situated at 28 Anne St S, Dublin.
Xian has both outdoor and indoor seating. But the indoors is a little too cozy for my liking. On a note, the parking is unavailable. But they have a wide range of foods on their menu and many varieties. They even have vegetarian options and late-night food service.

We ordered their viral chicken spice bag, Biang Biang noodles, and pan-fried dumplings. The spice bag is really living the hype. The chicken was crispy outside and tender inside. You can choose your spice level, and we went for spicy. My friend was in awe- how their dumplings tasted like home. One slurp from the Biang Biang and I felt like I was in the middle of the streets of Xi’an. The flavors, the aroma, and the taste, everything was perfect.
The place is definitely popular. The staff is incredibly busy because of the crowd and has a hard time managing all orders, yet they try their best to give proper service and suggest you food.
I highly recommend it if you want a hearty meal and a taste of Asia. I recommend their spice bag (if you have spice tolerance) and their main Biang Biang noodles. Also, they have many other options without spice and vegetarian food too. Big portion size at an affordable price with mind-blowing taste, where would you find it? Only in Xi’an Street Food Dublin. Xian Street Food – Earl St
I couldn’t just get over how amazing Xian’s food tastes. So, I decided to go back there with my family. This time we went to Xian Street Food at 16 N Earl St, North City, Dublin. My sister showed me their Google rating was 4.0 with 1047 reviews, and even on TripAdvisor, it was 3.6 with 193 reviews, which is something they definitely are worthy of.
Here you can book a reservation, and this place is good for families and kids. They have upstairs seating too. Sitting upstairs, which is comfy and nice, with a menu available through barcode, but it is so busy you will be waiting a bit to make your order if you decide to stay seated. You can alternatively order downstairs at the counter, too. As we had reservations, we ordered through the barcode.

As always, they have tons of variations in their menu. We ordered their main Biang Biang noodles, which never disappoint. The flavors burst into my mouth while soothing my heart at the same time. The spice bag lives up to its name. The noodle box was good too. We ordered a home soy base noodle box and fizzy passion fruit for my niece. And she loved it so much. For dessert, we tried their crispy condensed milk buns. I’ve never had anything like that before, and I’ll be trying it again.
The staff were very helpful. They are very attentive to your order and give recommendations for kids, too. They have outdoor sitting, on-site service, take away and even late-night delivery service, too, which is something we often crave for.
I would highly recommend their Biang Biang noodles if you want to get a taste of China. For a very affordable price, they serve good food. It costs €10–20 per person. For reservations, you can contact them by calling +353 1 878 8108
