I have always been a Pottery and painting lover since my childhood. I still remember playing with clay dough and making different shapes and vases. At that time, I used to make those things with my very inefficient hands, but I still received a lot of appreciation from my parents.
I still remember being a very little girl in my village with my grandma, when we met some potters and ceramic artisans. I tried to spin the pottery wheel, but couldn’t, and everyone laughed. That moment always makes me nostalgic.
Pottery painting sessions with friends and family are like therapy! First, we attended as corporate workers to boost our productivity, and I became nostalgic remembering my childhood days of pottery with friends. Once, I thought I would be a ceramicist in the future, but with time, that couldn’t happen, but still, I nurture that hobby deep in my mind. You will find some more places and other details in the blog on Pottery Classes Dublin.

Playing with air-dry clay at home can feel a bit plain. But step into a studio, and suddenly it’s a whole new world of fun, creativity and meeting amazing artsy people.
People grow up, but the inner child within them always cherishes the old days to come back. One of my friends always complains about life and the hassle of full corporate work. I also experienced this during my higher studies and professional work.
But, Pottery painting in Dublin never lets us down in our crazy, busy lives. I personally attended many workshops, events, and self-development programs in many studios in Dublin. And the ambience helped me like a healing elixir!
So, if you are creative and love to indulge in the pure soothing effects of cool and calm clay, then keep reading! You will definitely find some spots worth visiting in the next few weekends!
Some Paint Pottery studios of Dublin
Dublin Pottery Painting
Dublin pottery painting is located in Queen Street in Smithfield. I visited them with my nieces and sister. The kids had a long week, and my sister wanted them to have a relaxed and creative weekend. And, I joined them to get my kid’s days back!
The instructor members were really very sweet. They provided us with many prepared products like vases, bowls, and teapots. We choose from many.
I chose a teapot to paint and got all the paint materials from the studio. That was a 2-hour session, and I guess we actually spent some creative hours.

I painted sunflowers in my pot, as their colour is so bright and vibrant, and I think sunflowers can be stated as a symbol of life. That sun-faced and kissed flower really attracts me!
My sister and her babies also painted so well; they painted birds, fairy houses, and animals. The fun part was that my little niece painted a horse that looked like a frog! We all laughed a lot, which we haven’t done for a long time!
We gave them our unique pieces and got them back after 2 weeks. They glazed and fired our pieces and made them more durable. We were spellbound to get them back after glazing! So pretty pieces!
Giddy Studios Dublin
Giddy Studios in Dublin is one of the best corporate-friendly Pottery Studios. They basically offer pottery and mindfulness programs for corporate personnel and for schools and college students.
I was at my office and visited with my colleagues there. Undoubtedly, the corporate stress and day-to-day hassles, pressure of target fulfillment create a burden upon the employees. So, were our problems.
Our boss took an amazing initiative for us and let us have some quality and soothing time for ourselves.

This pottery studio has multiple branches in Dublin, and we visited the Rathfarnham branch as a convenient option. The pottery prices start around 13, and no entry fee at all!
We had a prior appointment as they prefer it. Though they have many other options for family fun and parties, especially if you want to celebrate the birthday party of your dear one there. The most important thing is that we arranged and customised our sessions as per our availability.
Our team building sessions with pottery paintings really went well! The soothing effects of colours, paints, and clay left an energizing effect on our minds.

Alternative Dublin City
Alternative Dublin City is known for neon paintings and showcases the hidden, creative, and quirky sides of Dublin City. Mainly, they offer many events, painting workshops, and musical events. In my school life, some of my friends and our Moms arranged a workshop with them.
That was one of my most memorable days of life.
Alternative Dublin City aims to value the local culture through arts and paintings. We attended them with a theme, which was painting and Pottery with some famous places and national staff of Ireland.

They charged 30 for each person for clay and other materials. Here, dry clay is used, so no hassle for firing and glazing. We prepared clay slabs and frames and painted on them.
Dublin Art Bar
Dublin Art Bar is known for its neon paintings and handmade pottery sessions. They are very much beginner-friendly and fun-focused. My University friends planned a fun and relaxing session, and I joined happily. I had always been a good painter. So, I encouraged this initiative from the core of my heart.
In the Dublin art bar, we met many tourists and locals as well, and made friends. That was absolutely amazing, being there, making clay painting, and having coffee. They arranged for music, games, and friendly sessions.

If you are pr, it’s good, but if you have no experience ,then it’s completely fine. You can just feel the ambience, the clay, colours, and use your imagination. You can definitely make a masterpiece of your own and original. One of my friends was so spellbound and felt really stress-free when doing pottery painting. He was suffering from some kind of depression and heartbreak, and it really helped him.
They have plans for public sessions and also for groups.

Throwing Shapes
If you are looking for a studio that will help you to learn Pottery as a professional, then do check out Throwing Shapes. My childhood friend and I went there last year to make our dream come true to be a seasonal Pottery professional! They are nestled in Mill Street, Dublin,8, and offer all sorts of materials needed for pottery.
We availed the 2-day foundation course, which was approximately 250 for each of us. We are now members of their clay community. The passion we had since our childhood has been actualized here.

My friend can throw shapes well, and I paint well. I think this is a fabulous combination, so we initially created a page for our ceramic business. Hopefully, it will grow.
