I’ve always believed that food is more than just sustenance. it’s a passport to another culture and a way to travel without leaving home. And for me, there’s no culinary journey more exciting than the one that takes you to the heart of Brazil. I’ve heard countless stories of the vibrant flavors, the incredible hospitality, and the sheer joy of Brazilian cuisine.
But living in Dublin, I wondered if I could find a place that truly captured that spirit. Was it possible to find a restaurant that didn’t just serve Brazilian food? And also offered a “pedacinho de casa”, a little piece of home?
My mission was to find the best Brazilian restaurant in Dublin could truly be proud of. A place that felt authentic, welcoming, and, most importantly, delicious. This is the story of that delicious adventure.
BAH33º The Authentic Gaucho BBQ
BAH33º, Unit 3-5, Royal Hibernian Way on Dawson Street, is the type of restaurant that carnivores will love. With an outstanding 4.6-star rating on Google (2,257+ reviews) and a 4.1 on TripAdvisor (125+ reviews), it’s famous for its churrasco, a true all-you-can-eat affair. It’s one worth checking out in the best Brazilian restaurants Dublin has to offer.
I first visited the restaurant with friends from Lithuania and Algeria who were interested in trying out Brazilian food. The experience was mixed. We were seated indoors and told the server that we wanted to order à la carte instead of the set rodízio. He then told us that we couldn’t sit in the restaurant unless we were going to eat the rodízio, which was inconvenient since the restaurant was not busy.

We had to move to an outside table in the blazing sun, and even though it rained afterwards. It felt like a gigantic failure of the service, considering that we weren’t told about this rule when we arrived. Although the initial hiccup in the service was an issue, the food was fantastic. The presentation was lovely and full of flavour.
We went for the à la carte, and the ribs were by far the best choice, simply divine. We also had the Pia Combo, and while the meat skewer was rather hard, it was still wonderfully flavourful. To enjoy a true churrasco experience, you can’t beat the constant infusion of flawlessly barbecued, first-rate Irish meat. Just ensure that there is ample room at the end for the roasted pineapple in the dessert.
The service itself is fast and frequent, and you can even request special cuts. The first service was a bit clumsy, but the food compensated quite well. For those with a meat appetite and some sort of variety, this restaurant is a good suggestion. You can reach them at 015327975 or contact@bah33.ie in order to book a table.
Brasa Dublin
If you are looking for a great, authentic Brazilian taste, then you have to get yourself down to Brasa on Ormond Quay Upper. With a fantastic 4.6 on Google and over a thousand reviews, this is somewhere that is not to be missed by anyone looking for a hectic and the best flavorful Brazilian restaurants that Dublin has in store.
The best part is that you’ll mostly find all the guests here to be Brazilian, which speaks volumes about its genuineness. The whole atmosphere of the place is fantastic, laid-back and informal, and I love the exposed brick walls and the laid-back romantic playlist that weaves English and Brazilian Portuguese music together.

The front-of-house staff are all such friendly, attentive, and patient people. Our churrasqueiro, Osny, was a total legend; he was such a lovely man and made us feel totally at home. Our waiter, Lucas, was just as helpful and professional, and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel totally at home. The food is simply delectable, with loads of authentic choices.
All the pieces of meat Osny served were best flavored, grilled to perfection, and just the way we loved them. We consumed the Shepherd’s pie, Stroganoff, Bacon Burger, and a Striploin steak, and all the dishes were fantastic. We also relished the cuzcuz, our favorite, and you can spot loads of other Brazilian material like heart of palm and cassava in the menu.
A word of advice… the portions are enormous. We had the mistake of ordering a starter and a main for four of us, and we couldn’t get through it. So remember this when you order! The food is great value for money, and we will definitely be returning. You can book a table by calling them on 015589177.
Tucano Restaurant
Some restaurants do not just trade in food; they trade in a taste of home. And that is exactly what Tucano, located at 4 Talbot Street, does. With an incredible 4.6-star rating on Google (1,957+ reviews) and 4.0 on TripAdvisor (8+ reviews), the restaurant is a little piece of Brazil in the middle of Dublin and a must-visit for all looking for the best authentic Brazilian restaurants Dublin has to offer.
It’s a small but popular place, and you can tell why. The staff are just so welcoming and warm; both the woman who greeted me at the door and the woman who took my order were absolute sweethearts. I must give a special mention to our waitress, Maysa. She saw that I was waiting to order and made sure someone came over immediately, even apologizing for the short wait.

You can tell she’s such a hard worker and dedicated to making every customer feel at home. The food is simply something else that makes this place stand out. The menu is extensive, the portions are enormous, and the prices are so reasonable. My favorite dish, personally, is the picanha, a must-have dish that is so well-served and simply divine.
They also have an incredible selection of traditional desserts. As my friend, who’s Brazilian, explained to me, it’s a “pedacinho de casa em Dublin,” a little piece of home in Dublin. The food is home cooking that’s prepared with love and packed with flavor.
A heads-up: the restaurant is tiny, so there might be a queue, but it’s well worth waiting for. It’s on a one-way street, so parking is more or less impossible, but it’s so convenient to get to on foot or by public transport. All in all, Tucano is an absolute gem, and I’ll be returning.
Fabi’s Grill Temple Bar
Finding Dublin’s best Brazilian restaurant can be a wonderful experience, and Fabi’s Grill in Temple Bar is certainly a treasure. Located at 13 Crown Alley, it is in a prime location to grab a meal before or after a trip to one of the more notable parts of the city. With a solid 4.3 on Google (1,964+ reviews) and a perfect 5.0 on TripAdvisor, this is a place you are going to want to come back to over and over.
When I first walked in, it seemed a little dark and a bit small, but when I looked around, I discovered how warm and friendly the vibe was and listened to the lovely Brazilian music that was playing. The staff were amazing right from the get-go. I was trying Brazilian food for the first time and could not explain how I wanted my meat cooked in English.

The waitress and her partner were so patient and sweet about it; the waitress even used her phone to show me some options. They were so friendly, and I could tell my comfort and happiness were very important to them. And the food! Oh, the food! First experience was very good! I had the Feijoada, which was very tasty, a generous portion size with cute presentation.
The Coxinha and Pão de Queijo were so fresh and nice. I had the picanha, and for €16, it was just wonderful. The meat was tender and cooked well, and the grains and rice were so nice. They have vegan Feijoada, which was cool to see, and drinks from Brazil, such as Guaraná. The only thing I did not like was the salad that I thought had too much vinegar, but everything else was great.
All in all, Fabi’s Grill has a good combined product of delicious food, welcoming service, and a good location. Great for wanting to try new food or for a Brazilian looking for a taste of home. I had a good experience and will definitely be back. Call them at 014448755 to book!
Padoca Dublin
Sometimes, though, you just want to find somewhere that somehow feels like a real, beautiful gem. Padoca Dublin, 64 Capel Street, is just the spot. With a cracking 4.6-star Google rating (1,148+ reviews) and 4.1 on TripAdvisor (7+ reviews), it’s somewhere that brings a much-needed injection of real Brazilian flavour to the city.
The place itself is so friendly and welcoming. The staff are very courteous, considerate, and enthusiastic, and the welcoming service makes Padoca a home away from home. My cousin, who lives in Canada, was visiting her family here in Dublin and was impressed with the flavor of the Brazilian snacks. We even ordered some snacks via WhatsApp to surprise my niece for a party, and it was a huge hit!

The food here is always world-class, with a super good assortment of sweet and savory Brazilian treats. You get a little bit of everything, from the signature Brigadeiro to my personal favorite, potato bread, which I paired with milk coffee. My cousin was especially impressed with the quality of the coxinhas. As a first-timer, I would highly recommend that you order the chicken coxinha and cheese bread and just keep ordering because everything is so good!
Padoca doesn’t disappoint. The food is always deeply flavored, very bold, and very well planned. If you’re a Brazilian seeking a home or even someone seeking something new, you should most certainly give it a try. You can order or inquire by calling them at 0833033631.
