Is Bunsen Burger Dublin the Best? My Honest Review

There are some cravings that only a burger can truly satisfy. For me, that feeling hits hard, and when it does, I’m on a personal quest to find a no-fuss, high-quality spot that delivers on flavor and value. Recently, many of my friends and colleagues have been raving about one particular place, Bunsen Burger Dublin, which they say has perfected the art of the burger.

You won’t believe it, but I felt as though I was hearing about Bunsen at almost every corner recently, and after all the recommendations, I finally decided to give it a go. This is my tour through Bunsen’s multiple locations, as I attempted to see if it does live up to the hype and is the top Bunsen Burger in Dublin.

Bunsen Burger- Wexford St. Dublin

I’m just glad I listened to my friend and chose Bunsen to satisfy my spontaneous burger cravings. We visited their 36 Wexford Street location, and I was impressed. Boasting a whopping 4.6-star Google rating (3.9k reviews) and a 4.5 on TripAdvisor (1,368 reviews), it’s somewhere that I’d always return. It’s the perfect option for anyone who simply wants a no-frills burger.

Bunsen is an indoor-seating restaurant with a cozy and homely ambiance. There was medium-level noise, which was ideal for us to chat while having lunch. The menu is so simple yet so intriguing; it looks like a business card, which is a brilliant concept. The staff were very friendly and prompt in attending to us. Our two burgers arrived in just 10 minutes, which is absolutely phenomenal. They even provide a takeaway service so that you can take your burgers and enjoy them quietly at the nearby park.

The service was worse than the food. I ordered their specialty cheese chicken burger and hand-cut fries. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium, the way I always prefer it, and was seasoned to perfection. The cheese was melted to perfection, balancing the flavors impeccably. And the hand-cut fries were truly one of the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend the cheeseburger.

This is now my favorite go-to burger joint. It’s where you can get a satisfying burger without overpaying, and they even offer a variety of fries and toppings. You can order for delivery on their website.

Bunsen – Temple Bar Dublin

After my first attempt, I was hooked, and I wanted to go back to my Bunsen burger quest. On this visit, I went to their Temple Bar site at 22 Essex St E. This site has a high Google rating of 4.6 (5.4k reviews) and a TripAdvisor rating of 4.4 (914 reviews). Right from the start, it was clear that they just know how to do their burgers.

The place itself isn’t big, and the interior is very plain, which I like. There was no line to wait in, which was a bonus. As always, the menu was bland, but the taste was incredible. They always prepare food using fresh materials, and you can tell that with your own eyes. The service was great too; the manager was kind and attentive, and we did not have to wait for our meal for too long at all.

I loved the cheeseburger, which I’m sure is an order that cannot be compromised on whenever I eat there. The value for money is just fantastic, making it all the more delightful. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which were delicious and quite honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. My friend ordered the regular chips, which I think can be improved slightly, but the overall flavor was fantastic, and I have no complaints at all.

I will definitely recommend trying their sweet potato fries. And their burgers? Absolutely non-negotiable. You try them and you’ll see what I’m talking about. In case you need to contact them, reach out via +35315599532 or email hello@bunsen.ie.

Bunsen – Anne St

My Bunsen burger Dublin adventure then led me to the Anne Street branch at 3 Anne St S, and with a Google rating of 4.6 (3.4k reviews) and a TripAdvisor rating of 4.4 (344 reviews), I was looking forward to it. As with all the other branches, they never disappoint when it comes to flavor. It’s a lovely spot in a great location, and you’re hit with the salivatory scent of burgers as soon as you walk in.

This spot can get really crowded, so you will want to plan ahead for sure. The crowd speaks to the fact that the food is well-enjoyed. The service was alright despite how many people were there. The workers were attentive and really helpful. The minimal menu speaks to how wonderful their food is.

The burger was hearty and meaty, cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sweet potato fries were amazing, as always. They even have a gluten-free bun option, which is possibly one of the best gluten-free burgers I’ve ever had. I also had the opportunity to try a strawberry milkshake, and it was really good.

Bunsen is the perfect place if you’re a tourist on tour and don’t wish to feel like you’ve just wasted your money. The quality of the food and the pure simplicity of their menu make it a restaurant that you simply must try. You can contact them at +35316521022.

Bunsen – Dame Street

For my last burger hunt adventure, I went to the Bunsen on Dame Street. My sister joined me at the 53 Dame Street location, which has a Google rating of 4.6 (1.3k reviews) and a TripAdvisor rating of 4.3 (56 reviews). Thankfully, we both were totally pleased with our food.

The establishment had table and counter seating. The premises were somewhat cramped and stagnant. The menu was limited, as always. The service was slow; we had to wait for the order to be received and for the food to be brought out. But the incredible taste of the food compensated for the slow service.

We ordered one double and one single cheeseburger, shoestring fries, and a Bunsen beer. The portions were so big, and the prices were extremely affordable. It’s the kind of meal that definitely fills you up without costing a fortune, and we were full for hours afterward. The fries were tasty and seasoned, but there were some small bits in them.

Bunsen definitely does not let down when it comes to their burgers. It’s the perfect spot for a hearty and affordable meal. I would highly recommend that you try the shoestring fries and, of course, the cheeseburger. You can contact them at +35315613853.
