Fallon and Byrne Dublin: Where Comfort Meets Class

From wholegrain foods, snacks, burger-sandwiches to 3-course set meals, tasty appetizers, and fine juices. Sounds like a dream come true restaurant, so good to be true. But it’s not a dream when Fallon and Byrne Dublin exist.

I discovered them on a whim and have been sticking to them ever since. Because who is foolish enough to walk past a dream-come-true restaurant? If you don’t wanna be one of them… stick with me. Sometimes one restaurant just isn’t enough to fit all your moods, coffee cravings, fine dining moments, and casual snack breaks.

From the bustling Food Hall to the elegant Dining Room, and finally the cozy Wine Cellar, each visit felt like a different story, yet every one of them had that same warm, comforting Fallon & Byrne charm. I tried the whole Fallon and Byrne, only for foodies like you and me.

After a half day of a hectic shopping spree, I was tired. More importantly, hunger was intolerable. Now, I need to eat something delicious and fulfilling at the same time. But it was impossible for me to walk down to any restaurant with these bags.

I would look like an old aunty who brought everything on discount- which I low-key did. So, I searched up on the map immediately for the nearest and a good place to grab a quick lunch. And that’s how I ended up visiting Fallon and Byrne Dublin.

Fallon and Byrne food hall is at 11-17 Exchequer St, Dublin 2. It holds a 4.8-star rating on Google and 4.3 stars with 127 reviews on TripAdvisor, which is impressive. The food hall is, of course, spacious. They have so many varieties and a good food selection. The atmosphere was nice and clean. They have an outside seating option, too.

But hey? I’m here for food! They have a variety of food from fresh breads, cheese, tortillas, sandwiches, burgers, and Italian foods as well. I got their Italian job sandwich. The goat cheese blends so well with the other ingredients. It was a worthy bite- simple, balanced, and deeply satisfying. They have a wide range of fresh juices.

But I was in the mood for coffee, so I got a cappuccino. It was made with freshly roasted coffee beans. My stomach was full, and the coffee craving fulfilled, and I was completely satisfied. What surprised me was that despite the crowd, the staff were very energetic, helpful, and friendly.

They take their time to recommend you and do small talk, all while they are working, cooking, and serving. It was a nice experience. I brought some of their cheese as it was hard not to. I highly recommend this place.

You can enjoy Dublin people walking past while sipping your coffee, or if you want a quick lunch but make it satisfying, Fallon and Byrne Food Hall in Dublin is perfect for you. Also, you can take a round around the place and buy some fresh groceries for your home as well. All in one…isn’t it a good deal?

The Dining Room, Fallon and Byrne, Dublin

Turns out, The Dining room at Flynn and Byrne was famous for its food and especially for their steak. It’s located on the second floor of the Flyne and Byrne Dublin grocery store at 11-17 Exchequer St, Dublin, which has a 4.4-star Google rating with over 2,828 reviews and a 4.3-star rating with 1,539 reviews on TripAdvisor.

The Dining Room's Steak and fries

It’s important when you meet up with an old friend, diving back into nostalgia- you’d definitely not want noise and disturbance. Also, the table and chair were nicely clean and tidy, which adds to the experience. We decided to have their 3-course set. For starters, I got their roasted red pepper soup, and my friend got Atlantic house smoked salmon.

The soup was warm and the spices blended perfectly. The salmon was fresh and well-seasoned. A good start. Then, we had their special Irish rib-eye steak. Now, what can I say about their steak? The moment I had a bite of it, I understood all the praises and hype about their steak because that was the best steak I’ve ever had.

The meat was fresh, tender, and juicy. I love how they blended the Irish local ingredients into this. It was unique and delicious at the same time. My friend remarked… this was probably the best steak he ever had in Dublin. So, worth it. For sides, we ordered Grilled Broccoli, lemon yogurt, and hazelnuts for a clean-up.

It was fresh and organic, which was very delightful. For drinks, we had a spiced apple mojito, which was refreshing. About the service- what can I say, as I was very pleased. I didn’t have to be embarrassed; instead, I was proud of the  Dublin people and their hospitality.

When I said that, my friend came from overseas to meet up they put in an extra effort. They even served us a complimentary dessert, which was very sweet. They were very attentive and friendly- constantly checking up if we needed something.

Well, my experience at the Dining Room, Fallon and Byrne was lovely. I had a good time with my friend in a beautiful atmosphere while having the most delicious taste of Dublin ever. Highly recommend Fallon and Byrne Dublin.

The Wine Cellar of Fallon and Byrne Dublin

My last stop was the Wine Cellar of Fallon and Byrne. I went there with my friends on a chilly afternoon. It has 4.4 stars on Google and 4.3 stars on TripAdvisor, which I’m not surprised by after I’ve visited Fallon and Byrne Dublin twice already, and maybe I’ll visit again.

The place has a beautiful interior with jazz music playing in the background. The warm lights create a cozy and comforting vibe. They quickly made a table for five of us- we didn’t have to wait or stand outside at all. My friend has already started liking the place.

We ordered the cheese board, garlic pizza bread, chunky potato wedges, and basil Aioli. Their cheese is locally famous- well served. It’s fresh and organic. The garlic pizza bread was also freshly baked, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The chunky potato wedges were my favorite. Crispy outside and soft inside.

The Wine Cellar

I can feel my mouth watering at the thought of dipping the wedges in the basil aioli. We ordered their special apple mojito, as I loved it last time. It has a sweet and spicy taste, all while being so refreshing. I like how the sweetness isn’t overpowering. The staff was very friendly. They even occasionally joined me and my friend in chat. They were very funny and energetic, which set up the mood.

This place is great if you want to have a good experience of food and vibes with your friends. A nice place to spend time with your friends and family. So, buddy, tell me when you are visiting Fallon and Byrne in Dublin?
